Dorothy Delp Albrecht, 81, of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on August 3, 2002. Born June 13, 1921 the daughter of Phoebe and Oscar Delp, the sister of Margaret and Walter, and the wife of 50 years to William F. Albrecht, Sr., predeceased June 3, 1990, she was an area resident all her life. Dorothy and her husband owned and operated William F. Albrecht, Sr. Excavating for 23 years and sold the business to their son, William, and son in law, Phillip in 1969. Dot and Bill continued to work for Albrecht and Heun, Inc.
Dorothy, known to everyone as "Mom-Mom", enjoyed dancing, going to the casinos, making Sunday and holiday dinners for her family, and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. She was a gentle woman who loved her family dearly, fighting a courageous battle of cancer with a smile for everyone and trying to comfort her family. Mom-Mom showed a side of her that truly amazed her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, William F., Jr. and Sophia Albrecht, her daughter and son in law, Patricia and Phillip G. Heun, Sr.; her devoted grandchildren, Phillip, Jr. and wife, Deborah Heun, Victoria Hean and fiancée Doug Stocker, Christopher Heun, William A. Albrecht, Michelle Albrecht and fiancée Ben Grothe, Eric and wife, Carolyn Albrecht, Michael Albrecht and friend Shannon DeBarro; and her great grandchildren, Phillip, Heather, and Kristen Heun, Veronica and Zachary Grothe, Will Albrecht, Christine and Olivia Albrecht. Goodbye Mom-Mom, we all love you and will miss you.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at 12 noon at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends are invited to attend after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
